Sobre este disco
Step In The Arena (1991), segundo disco de Gang Starr: Guru y DJ Premier encuentran su fórmula de jazz y scratches, con «Just To Get A Rep» y «Check The Technique».
Premier empieza a cortar samples en fragmentos mínimos y Guru rapea con voz monótona sobre la calle y la responsabilidad, como en «Who's Gonna Take The Weight?» o «Form Of Intellect». Dieciocho cortes. Es el disco que fijó su sonido.
